LNG STORAGE TANKS PROJECT, SAKHALIN-2

Kentech were commissioned by CB&I to undertake the full electrical and instrumentation installation on the two LNG storage tanks at Sakhalin-2.

The two tanks are over 40 metres and 70 metres in diameter and are made of reinforced cast concrete.  Kentech's scope included the complete underground services and excavation for the cabling to the foundation heating system on the circumference of both tanks, the installation of above ground cabling and support systems for lighting, heat tracing, HV pumps, jib cranes, power and instrumentation services including the fibre optic cabling for the annular space leak detection system inside each tank and the tank roof lightning protection grid.

We also completed the interface of power and control cabling from the Sakhalin II LNG Plant including the test and loop checking of all systems.

Kentech completed all works safely throughout the most extreme weather and working conditions.
