BOOSTER STATION 2 PROJECT, SAKHALIN-2

As part of the Sakhalin-2 project, SEIC constructed a Gas Compression and Oil Pumping Station.  The overall facility, called Booster Station 2 (BS2), is located approximately 250km north of Yukhno-Sakhalinsk and 1.2km to the north of the village of Gastello.

SEIC handed the EPC site area to Poong Lim (JV Eaststroy) after completing site preparation activities. Initially Poong Lim focused on completing the main civil works on the EPC site (piling and foundations) so that they could concentrate on equipment installation and hook-up the following year

Kentech Sakhalin completed the site preparation, camps and main access road by this time andwere awarded the contract by Poong Lim for the overall mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works on the Booster Station.  This was in addition to the contract for the installation of the two RB211 Rolls Royce Turbines which had already been awarded to Kentech

Kentech completed its works within an 18 month period and executed a total of 1.5 million manhours on the project without a lost time incident.  We were also proud to receive two safety awards from our client during this time in recognition of our outstanding safety performance.
