COMBINED CYCLE PLANT, VALLADOLID

Kentech Mexico were awarded a contract to provide engineering, fabrication, supply, installation and commissioning of the equipment for the Turbine Control System of the three generation units.  The project was divided into four phases, and Kentech executed Phases 2 & 3:

Phase 1: Turbine Control System for Units 3, 4 & 5.

Phase 2: Development of engineering and installation of control equipment and corresponding field instrumentation for Units 3, 4 and 5.

Phase 3:  Commissioning of the Turbine Control Systems for Units 3, 4 & 5.

Phase 4: Training.

Kentech carried out the engineering aspect of this project in early 2010 but waited to carry out the execution phase in order to coincide with the planned plant outafe by the plant operator, CFE.

After initially executing pre outage works, we mobilized to site and undertook the control system exchange during a 45 day period.  We then subsequently provided commissioning start up support to Emerson.
