Odoptu Stage 2 (OS2) comprises a further development of the Odoptu First Stage Production (FSP) on Sakhalin Island, in Russia’s Far East. The Odoptu North Well Site (NWS), First Stage Production Facility (FSP) is part of the Sakhalin-1 field development which is located approximately 76 kilometers north of the Chayvo Onshore Processing Facility (OPF).

The OS2 Project scope of works consists of additional wells at the North Well Site, water and gas injection and gas lift capabilities and a host of new equipment and modifications required to increase the Odoptu facility capacity to 200 mscfd gas injection, 100 kbpd water injection and 55 kbpd oil production. These modifications include the introduction of 12 new modules and 2 pipe rack containment modules constructed in Korea and shipped to Sakhalin for installation and permanent housing in the Odoptu facility.

The end of 2016 saw the completed installation of the first seven modules with 2017 set to see the staged delivery of the remaining 5 modules to the Odoptu Facility.

Kentech entered into a contract with the main EPC Contractor, Fluor, in mid 2015 to deliver the complete E&I scope of works across the site. The contract was set to span a 2 year period and by the end of 2016 has already achieved close to 900,000 manhours not only LTI free but without any recordable incidents.  The Kentech team were exceeding all expectations in terms of quality and speedy project delivery. For example, the team had successfully achieved and exceeded the cabling network installations with a positive average variance of 36,612 lm.
