MTA II - QATAR SHELL PEARL GTL

Kentech successfully executed the complete Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Services to Support QSGTL Pearl MTA2 2016 (TAE&I) on time, within budget and to the satisfaction and appreciation of our client, Shell. During the course of the project, we expended over 276,000 LTI free manhours.

Our scope of work included TPSP (temporary power), planning, decommissioning, execution, commissioning and start-up the Turnaround (TA) event, at the worksite which is located within Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) in the State of Qatar.

Kentech Qatar mobilized approximately 380 additional personnel to meet the MTA 2 target goals and achieved the target milestones for all aspects of the project. Kentech provided qualified management, planners supervision, trade labour, tools, equipment, to support the TA which included instrument maintenance / specialty turnaround services, electrical maintenance / specialty turnaround services, mobile plant & equipment, minor projects support, plant changes and modifications, and unit / equipment shutdown maintenance (planned and unplanned) services.

Kentech also provided Management Services covering, but not limited to the provision of Temporary Services, HSE, QA/QC, and administration management support.  In addition, we provided support for critical path equipment maintenance to Siemens, on major compressor overhauls, similarly supporting ABB preventative maintenance activities and Flowserve in multiple works across these three blocks.

This is a major achievement for Kentech, following on from the highly praised performance on MTA 1 2015, where we had 70% of the scope, the award of the complete package, which was tendered in two lots, is a great recognition of the company’s achievements in the region and the ongoing performance of our E&I and HVAC contracts at the QSGTL.
