Strategic Staff Appointments Continue at Kentech Group

2019 is set to be a fantastic year for Kentech as we continue to take strategic steps towards reaching our Engine for Growth goals.  With this in mind, we are delighted to announce an important appointment to our global leadership team.  Les Cox has been appointed as Group IMS Manager. Les commenced working with Kentech through an Australian joint venture in 2014. He brought with him a wealth of experience in HSE, Project Execution and Quality Management that he had secured over the 2 decades of his career in Asia Pacific. He has attained extensive knowledge and experience from a variety of different perspectives as he has worked with various contractors, vendors and operators in his career to date. So, in addition to the varied perspectives that he brings to the role, he has many years of experience within the Kentech Family on project sites and knows, first hand, the challenges that our people are facing on a daily basis. Les has a great strength in connecting and working with people and teams and he brings great energy, positivity and a highly collaborative approach to this role.  In his own words, it is his passion as an agent for change that drives his personal commitment to human and organisational operational excellence, challenging the business to ensure that everyone goes home unharmed to their families and friends each and every day.  As a team, we couldn’t be more excited to have Les on board and can’t wait to see the implementation of his innovative ideas over the coming months and years.

Kentech Achieves 10 Million Safe Man-Hours milestone

Kentech has recently achieved the milestone of 10 million man-hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI).  Mark Shaw, Kentech’s HSE manager noted that: "this is a remarkable achievement by our team of over 3,500-strong staff employed at various Kentech sites across the world over the last 13 months. We operate in a high risk industry and this recent milestone is a testament to our staff and site workers’ commitment to safety, and diligent adherence to the Company safety processes."  Kentech has invested in an injury free culture by making employees accountable for ensuring that a safe working environment is available on all of its sites, worldwide. The Company certified Integrated Management System (IMS) has developed a Health and Safety system supported by safe work practices and procedures that are implemented on all Kentech sites, and are subject to annual third party verification. The Integrated Management System, introduced in 2006, has had a profound effect on the Health & Safety performance of the Company, and the latest milestone numbers amongst others achieved over the years since 2006. The total hours expended by Kentech since the introduction of the IMS in 2006 is 75 Million and 7 LTI’s have been sustained during this period, giving a yearly average of 10 million man hours LTI free.
