KSJV Announces Contract Extension on the Wheatstone Project

KSJV is pleased to announce the extension of its contract at the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project to 30 September 2018.  KSJV, a joint venture between Kentech Group and Southern Cross Electrical (ASX:SCX), is undertaking pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up work as a subcontractor to Bechtel at the LNG facility being constructed at Ashburton North. KSJV has successfully executed approximately one million manhours on the project to date without any lost time incidents. KSJV is pleased to have secured this contract extension and looks forward to continuing to support the ongoing delivery of the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project.

Kentech Awarded Further MSA with TCO

Kentech Kuwait Is Awarded Fifth Contract on the Clean Fuels Program

Kentech Kuwait is delighted to announce the award of a specialist support services contract with FDH JV (Fluor) for the Local Control Room - 5 (LCR-5) Shutdown Works on KNPC's Clean Fuels Program. This is the fifth contract Kentech Kuwait has been awarded on this important project and will see the team cutover 600 existing multicore cables with 6000+ loop checks carried out within a scheduled 20 day shutdown period.  The works also includes the supply of 22 Distributed Control System (DCS) Operators to assist in the loop and function checking. Bryan Pearce, Kuwait Country Manager, commented "This strategic contract further develops Kentech's expertise in this type of specialist work. This continues our work on KNPC's important Clean Fuels Program for a key global client of Kentech's and I have no doubt our experienced and dedicated team will execute a very successful shutdown."

KSJV Announces Exciting New Contract on Wheatstone Project

Kentech Australia Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that its LNG focussed joint venture, KSJV, has secured a contract with Bechtel, an international gas service company headquartered in the USA, for the provision of electrical and instrumentation installation services for the downstream portion of the Wheatstone LNG processing facility. Work commenced on site in early 2016 and will be performed on a cost reimbursable basis. KSJV is a 50:50 joint venture between Southern Cross Electrical Engineering (SCEE) and Kentech. About Wheatstone: The Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project is one of Australia’s largest resource projects. Located at Ashburton North, 12 kilometres west of Onslow in Western Australia, The Wheatstone Project is a joint venture between the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron, Apache, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company and Shell and Kyushu Electric Power Company. The Initial phase of the project will consist of two liquefied natural gas trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 million tonne per annum and a domestic gas plant. About Bechtel: Bechtel has been working in Australia for more than 58 years, Bechtel (Western Australia) is contracted to Chevron to provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the downstream portion of the Wheatstone LNG project.
