Launch of 2018 HSE Campaign - WE ARE FAMILY

Today we are proud to launch our 2018 HSE Campaign...WE ARE FAMILY. We should all be proud of our HSE performance in 2017. Well done everyone! While this was a tremendous achievement we must not sit back and we should always strive for improvement. The WE ARE FAMILY campaign includes all of us; our families at home and our families at work. This is an exciting and unique campaign and one of inclusion, which enhances the concept of FAMILY to embrace all of our colleagues. Our enhanced FAMILY has members all over the world, who speak different languages and work in many different environments and under different conditions; some who work in foreign countries living in camp conditions who may only rotate home once or twice a year and others who work locally and see their family every day. However, we all work closely together as colleagues and we depend on each other professionally and depend on each other to keep us safe. Much like FAMILY members. Watch this space as we bring you real examples of what WE ARE FAMILY means to our colleagues, and their families, across the world as we drive this campaign forward throughout the year.

Kentech Celebrate 2017 Safety Achievements

The employees of Kentech are proud and delighted to announce and celebrate 2017’s Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0.131.  In reality this meant executing over 9 million manhours across all of our international operations without seriously hurting anyone. Throughout the year, our personnel travelled 4.4 million kilometres on business related road journeys, which is equivalent to driving 110 times around the circumference of the world and were not responsible for any major vehicle accidents. Across the group, we carried out the following Risk Management Processes on our sites:   49,447 Risk Assessments 264,323 Last Minute Risk Assessments (Take 5) 9,600 Site Safety Inspections 4,127 Behavioural Audits 631,960 Daily Tool Box Talks 53,117 Manpower Training Courses   The diligence of the project teams in maintaining very high standards of risk management on site was considered the principal contributor to our excellent 2017 safety performance. John Gilley, COO, commented “I cannot begin to express how proud I am of our worldwide workforce in this achievement.  The passion for safety on a very personal level on our sites is palpable.  We are like-minded and you are an exceptional group of people to work for, and with.  We will not rest until we see the day that we flatline this TRIR curve at zero accidents.  We will use our K2  Journey to help us interact differently, work differently, keep our heads in the game and specifically for 2018 we widen the HSE conversation to outside the workplace with our “WE ARE FAMILY” HSE Campaign.  I look forward to working with you all again in 2018 on the next phase of our HSE Journey together.”

Kentech Sakhalin Are Awarded ENL Contractor of the Year For The Fifth Time

The 2017 Sakhalin-1 SSH&E Forum was held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on the 26th September, the theme of which was ‘SSH&E Excellence is Our Way’. This year’s forum differed from previous years with the addition of contractor trade booths whereby contractors displayed how they were contributing to SSH&E excellence on the Sakhalin-1 Project. Also added to the agenda was an interactive session with the audience participants called ‘Who Wants To Be A Safety Hero’. Kentech played a leading role in the organising of this year’s event; designing and hosting the interactive session, coordinating contractors’ presentations and trade booths. The day finished up with the Safe Contractor of The Year award ceremony and we are delighted to announce that the Kentech Maintenance Team were a recipient of this award for the 5th time.
