Kentech are delighted to announce that our team in Australia have recently been awarded further contracts from Thiess Pty Ltd, to perform Electrical and Instrumentation Services on the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) Project.
Expanding on Kentech’s initial scope of work delivered on the Matilda John field compressor station (FCS), Kentech have been awarded a further three FCS; Kathleen, Polaris and Ross. These field compressor stations are being constructed to expand QGC’s existing coal seam gas production in the Surat Basin of Southern Queensland. These gas facilities are a key element of the QCLNG Project and provide gas via a 540km buried natural gas pipeline to Gladstone and the new LNG facility which is currently under construction on Curtis Island.
The 3 facilities are due to be completed by November 2014
Kentech’s Managing Director in Australia, Phil Johnson, commented “Kentech is pleased to continue the relationship with Thiess on this development. The award of these packages is a sign that Thiess and QGC respect the quality of our work, our commitment to safety, and our ability to integrate with other contractors on site to deliver”
