Kentech has recently achieved the milestone of 10 million man-hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI). Mark Shaw, Kentech’s HSE manager noted that:
"this is a remarkable achievement by our team of over 3,500-strong staff employed at various Kentech sites across the world over the last 13 months. We operate in a high risk industry and this recent milestone is a testament to our staff and site workers’ commitment to safety, and diligent adherence to the Company safety processes."
Kentech has invested in an injury free culture by making employees accountable for ensuring that a safe working environment is available on all of its sites, worldwide. The Company certified Integrated Management System (IMS) has developed a Health and Safety system supported by safe work practices and procedures that are implemented on all Kentech sites, and are subject to annual third party verification. The Integrated Management System, introduced in 2006, has had a profound effect on the Health & Safety performance of the Company, and the latest milestone numbers amongst others achieved over the years since 2006.
The total hours expended by Kentech since the introduction of the IMS in 2006 is 75 Million and 7 LTI’s have been sustained during this period, giving a yearly average of 10 million man hours LTI free.
