Kentech Sakhalin Technical Services is happy to announce that in April 2014 it has been awarded the hook-up and commissioning works on the Berkut platform of the Arkutun Dagi project executed by ExxonNeftegasLimited.
This platform is an offshore, ice-resistant fixed platform which is expected to become the largest oil and gas production platform in Russia. This gravity-based structure has been named Berkut - from the Russian for golden eagle. Its topsides will be among the largest in the industry, weighing about 28,000 tons.
For this scope of work Kentech Sakhalin Technical Services will have approximately 120 people for the hook-up and commissioning works on the Berkut platform when it positioned on its gravity based structure which is in the Arkutun Dagi Field off the East Cost of Sakhalin Island. The services provided by KSTS will include; project management, skilled tradesman, on-shore support, procurement of materials and On & Off - shore calibrations of instruments and equipment.
