Kentech are pleased to announce that our team in Australia have secured their first project win as part of the LNG focussed Joint Venture formed with SCEE. KSJV has received a Limited Notice of Award from Bechtel to perform Electrical Installation Services on the LNG project on Curtis Island in Queensland which is scheduled to run for around 12 months.
Kentech’s Business Development Director in Australia, Harry Sonnenberg, commented “This award is a milestone for KSJV as we take our first steps into the massive LNG market in Australia. From Kentech’s point of view, we are thrilled with the opportunity to build on the LNG experience we have gained in other parts of the world. With six Australian LNG plants having achieved Final Investment Decision and scheduled to be completed over the next three to five years, the construction peak in this sector is still to come.”
Sarah Kent, Kentech CEO added “KSJV was formed to provide Tier One E&I services to the LNG sector. We are delighted to have secured this contract which offers us the chance to bring our LNG expertise to the Australian marketplace.”
The project to which the KSJV award has been received is an LNG facility on Curtis Island off the coast of Gladstone. Once operational, the LNG facility will be capable of processing up to 9 million tonnes per annum.
