Kentech Abu Dhabi Signs Two New Contracts with Repeat Customers

It is always very pleasing to secure repeat business with key clients, as there is no surer indication of previous high standards of performance.  Kentech is delighted to announce the signing of two important contracts in the UAE with clients for whom we have previously worked.

Kentech has been awarded a contract from SNC Lavalin for the EMAL Phase 2 Carbon Area Electrical & Instrumentation Works. Phase 2 of the development represents a $5 billion investment for Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) and involves the expansion of the Phase 1 development at Al Taweelah in Abu Dhabi. It also represents continued growth for Kentech in the Mining & Metals sector which we are also currently growing in the Australian market.

Kentech were heavily involved in Phase 1 of EMAL and the project was a great success for all concerned, both in terms of HSE performance and overall project execution.  There is no doubt that our track record from Phase 1 contributed to this most recent award. Similar to Phase 1, SNC Lavalin bring their considerable expertise in the Aluminium sector as the Consultants for Phase 2 of the project and we are looking forward to re-establishing our relationship with them.

The contract encompasses engineering services, material procurement, installation and testing of the Electrical, Control & Instrumentation systems in the Carbon Area and is scheduled to run from November 2012 until July 2013.

The second contract has been awarded to Kentech by Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and covers the execution of multiple projects at their condensate and light crude refinery in Jebel Ali, Dubai. The packages cover various Electrical  & Instrumentation revamp, upgrade and modification works including Refinery Debottlenecking, EMCC Power, CCTV Upgrade, Analyzer Cooling, Ammonia Injection, Pressure Control and Flow Measurement.

This contract follows on from our delivery of the Naphtha Hydrotreater Project in 2009 which saw Kentech execute over 1,500,000 manhours safely and successfully.

This latest project will be carried out by Kentech Dubai. We look forward to delivering these projects and continuing our very important association with ENOC.
