Kentech Australia awarded additional works on Karara Mining Project

Kentech are pleased to have been awarded an additional contract on the Karara Iron Ore Project.  Back in May of this year, we were awarded the electrical and instrumentation contract for the installation of the shiploader at Geraldton Port.  This was our first contract with Karara Mining Limited, and due to our outstanding performance on this project, Karara have now awarded us an electrical and instrumentation contract on the main mine site.

The mine site is located 200km east of Geraldton in Western Australia.  Our scope of work covers the primary crusher area and the secondary crushing and screening area of the process plant and our works are scheduled to be delivered by the end of March next year.

Harry Sonnenberg, Business Development Manager for Kentech’s Australian operations and who has helped build our strong relationship with Karara commented “The opportunity to extend our support to Karara Mining Limited in the construction of their mine site is testament to the dedication and performance of our team working on the ship loader at the Geraldton port. Ron Amos and Steve Cormack who supervised the works at Geraldton Port will now transfer to the mine site where we anticipate supplying up to 60 people to install the electrical and instrumentation services for the primary and secondary crusher plus the interconnecting conveyor systems."
