Kentech Awarded E&I Contract for Geraldton Port Shiploader

Kentech have recently been awarded the electrical and instrumentation contract by Karara Mining Limited on the installation of the 760 tonne shiploader at Geraldton Port, as part of their Karara Iron Ore Project.  You can see the unloading of the shiploader at Geraldton on Karara Mining’s YouTube site here.

Karara Mining Ltd was established in 2007 through the 50/50 joint venture between Gindalbie Metals and Anshan Iron and Steel Group. The Karara Project, located 200km east of Geraldton, is the first major magnetite operation in the Mid West of Australia. The operation includes construction and operation of a large open pit mine, a processing plant to produce magnetite concentrate and all associated infrastructure.
