QATAR POSSESS THE THIRD LARGEST SHARE OF THE WORLD'S PROVEN GAS RESERVES.

Kentech’s operations in Qatar were first established in 2006 and currently offer a mix of engineering services including Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls Systems, HVAC and Mechanical Construction, Design, Engineering, Procurement and Operations and Maintenance.

Our operations in Qatar face the tough climatic conditions of the Arabian desert where in the summer months, temperatures can reach 50 degrees celsius and humidity at highs of 95%.  This carries with it a real concern for the health and safety of our employees, something which Kentech across the world embraces as its number one priority. Despite this, the team in Qatar have managed to execute over 4.5 million safe manhours since 2006.

Kentech have worked on many of the major projects in the region at both Ras Laffan Industrial City and Mesaieed Industrial City.  Projects include the Sigma Project, Pearl GTL, Oryx GTL, Qatargas LNG, Common Sulphur Project, Qatalum Aluminium Smelter Project and Qatar Petroleum’s MPPL.

We have also enjoyed successful relationships with prestigious clients such as Ras Gas, Qatar Petroleum, O2 Pearl, Oryx GTL, Qatar Shell, SNC Lavalin, Washington Group International, GE Oil & Gas, CTJV, AJES and Punj Lloyd.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

• OVERCOMING THE ODDS: On the O2 Pearl Project, Kentech demonstrated their ability to rapidly mobilize a large, multi-skilled workforce within a short period of time.  

• INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS: Air Liquide are a key client of Kentech and one whom we work with in various parts of the world.  They were looking for a design engineering solution on their Sigma Project and Kentech were able to offer their expertise, winning their first design project in the region.

• OUTSTANDING SAFETY STANDARDS: Since commencing operations in Qatar in 2006, Kentech has expended over 4.5 million manhours in the harst desert climates without a lost time injury.

• LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIPS: Kentech assisted the main EPC contractor Al Jaber Energy Services/Washington Group JV, for over 4 years.
