KAZAKHSTAN HAS THE LARGEST OIL AND GAS RESERVES IN THE CASPIAN SEA BASIN.

Kentech have been operating in Kazakhstan since 1998, during which time we have worked in all the major oil and gas facilities in the Western region including Tengiz, Kashagan, Karachaganak and also at supply and fabrication bases in the Aktau region.

We have 50% local shareholders in the region and operate locally as Kentech Kyzmet. We pride ourselves on being a Kazakh company and have successfully implemented our philosophy of “think global, hire local”, with 96% of our direct workforce in Kazakhstan being of Kazakh nationality. We invest heavily in the training of local personnel and have therefore established a technical training centre at our Atyrau facility to provide both refresher and upgrade training in all aspects of our core business.

We are fully licensed to undertake engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and maintenance of civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation services, including work over 1,000 volts. In support of our core disciplines, we are also licensed to work as an independent calibration service provider. We were one of the first companies in Kazakhstan to establish on-site laboratories to complete the necessary certifications and today have a number of containerised field support units operational on a number of sites.

Kentech is an ISO9001:2008 certified company that is working in full compliance with Kazakh QA/QC law and all our documentation is produced in dual language. We are committed to providing quality services to support our clients in the oil and gas, power generation and mining sectors in Kazakhstan. 

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

• OVERCOMING THE ODDS: Kentech have demonstrated their ability to rapidly mobilize a large, multi-skilled workforce to a remote location within a short period of time.  This has proven to be highly successful for both shutdown work, and where a rapid increase in resources is required to achieve project targets.

• DEDICATED LOCAL WORKFORCE: Kentech place a high emphasis on local skills base development.  96% of our direct workforce in Kazakhstan is of Kazakh nationality and we work hard to develop the technical, management and safety skills of our Kazakh national employees.  As such, we have a dedicated training centre based in Atyrau.

• OUTSTANDING SAFETY STANDARDS Kentech has expended almost 18 million manhours during the previous 6 years without loss of life or any serious injury to any of its personnel, achieving an average Accident Frequency Rate of 0.17.

• ROBUST SYSTEMS We have been able to successfully integrate Kentech’s world-class management systems to work effectively in the local market.
