With Ireland playing a key role in the development and growth of the information technology industry, it was critical to be able to have reliable data communications and storage capabilities available. Telecity is one of the leading providers of managed data centre services across Europe and due to the extent of the growth in Ireland they decided to set up a facility in Dublin.

Telecity needed to have their first hosting facility established within 9 months so having a turn-key provided was critical to achieving this date.

Kentech won the contracts to carry out the above works. Our work-scope included the procurement and installation of the following:

• Civil: Forming all of the rooms from an open-plan area and fitting out the rooms to a completed state including laying floors, installation of false ceilings, fireproofing, painting and the doors
• HVAC: Air Conditioning units, associated Chillers and air Handling Equipment
• Electrical: LV and MV Switchgear, MVA Transformers, Generators, UPS, all Lighting equipment, DB’s etc.
• All Fire Detection and Intruder Alarm systems
