Kentech's work on the prestigious Odoptu Stage 2 (OS2) Project on Sakhalin Island began in March 2015 and we are delighted to announce that the team have recently achieved 1 million manhours without an LTI or any recordable incidents. What’s more, these hours were delivered during extremely harsh and challenging climatic conditions in which the team have also exceeded the efficiency targets set by the client.
Sarah Kent, Kentech CEO, commented: “The Kentech Sakhalin team continue to be world leaders in safety performance, despite the challenging conditions in which they operate on a daily basis. It is the people and the way that they work together that truly makes the difference and which has resulted in all of our people being safe in Sakhalin for many years.”
Kentech are delivering the E&I works package on this project which will see the creation of additional wells at the North Well Site, Water and Gas Injection and Gas Lift capabilities and a host of new equipment and modifications. These additional facilities are required to increase the Odoptu facility capacity to 200 mscfd gas injection, 100 kbpd water injection 55 kbpd oil production. The modifications include the introduction of 12 new modules and 2 pipe rack containment modules constructed in Korea and shipped to Sakhalin for installation and permanent housing in the Odoptu facility.
